My Skin Care Routine - Less is More

My Skin Care Routine - Less is More

Below is my everyday skincare routine that I've stuck to for the longest time. Please keep in mind that what works for me, may not work for you. I just want to state that nothing below is promoted, I honestly use everything mentioned.

Also, none of these products matter if you're not focusing on the problems internally. Drink LOTS of water, eat more foods with high Vitamin C, work out, get lots of sleep and something that I think is very important for your skin is to focus on your mental health as well. If you're happy on the inside, it'll show on the outside.

Day routine:

I don't wash my face in the morning with a cleanser

I just use water and then I spray C + Collagen Perfect Skin Set & Refresh Mist

Then use Protini™ Polypeptide Moisturizer

I also use Rosehip oil/Tea tree oil if needed.

Night routine:

I use Burt’s Bee’s Facial Cleansing Oil to remove any makeup

Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial Toner Cucumber to tone and remove excess

Protini™ Polypeptide Moisturizer for an every night moisturizer

Collagen Moisture Filler Cream around my eyes

and any of the other products mentioned below depending on what I need that night

*Everything in detail and extra products mentioned below:

Makeup Remover:

Burt’s Bee’s Facial Cleansing Oil: I like to take my makeup off, especially mascara, with this cleansing oil. Having oily skin, I used to be scared to put oil on my face but I’ll have to admit, this really balanced my skin and it’s actually normal now and not oily at all anymore! It keeps it feeling really soft and nourished, dissolves everything instantly and does not leave any excess oily residue behind. I started this around October and I’m still using it.

Cleansers:

I don't cleanse every day, usually, I just wash my face with water and that cleansing oil. I’ll use this when I feel the need to extra cleanse

Honest Beauty Clearing Cleanser: I learned the hard way that doing more definitely does not work. I’ll admit, last summer I was a little bit obsessed with skin products. My skin doesn’t break out a lot but during that time of using a bunch of different products, I was going through IT. I tried to research a product that has a tiny amount of salicylic acid (most cleansers has 2%) and found this one. It contains only 0.5% and also has other key ingredients to really help give you baby skin. It’s really gentle and does not dry my skin out. I use this whenever I get a breakout or notice blackheads, and it clears it right away while really smoothing everything out. I also love Jessica Alba and her brand!

Toner:

Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial Toner Cucumber: is my favorite! I skip using a cleanser in the mornings (you don’t want to overwash, you'll mess up your pH balance) and I just spray this all over my face (I have the spray version just so I don't use cotton pads) The cucumber really refreshes and wakes me up in the morning. Also, when I wash my face in the morning, I sometimes use my fingernails to exfoliate and scrub my skin till it turns a little red (I know it sounds crazy but I really think this helps exfoliate, keep my pores tight and makes my skin stronger. I've been doing this for the longest time.)

Day & Night Moisturizers:

Protini™ Polypeptide Moisturizer: my all-time favorite moisturizer. It’s a little pricey but it lasts me a long time, especially because I only use this one at night. It’s a protein moisturizer that contains a bunch of ingredients to improve the look of skin’s tone, texture, and firmness including- amino acids, signal peptides, growth factors and much more.

Extra Products that I love:

Embryolisse 24-Hour Miracle Cream: this is for when my skin’s feeling dry. I also use it to prime my face before events or an extra glam makeup look.

Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream: Not really a serum but another product I swear by. Whenever I play with a pimple and it leaves a red scar, this is the product I use on it every chance I get (a few times a day) and it’ll be gone within a few weeks.

Collagen Moisture Filler Cream: I use on my eyelids and underneath my eye area before bed. Not sure how I ended up getting this product but it makes my eyes feel really moist and hydrated and I’ve been using it for a couple of months now.

Serums:

T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum: I really don’t use too many serums. This is the only one I’ve been using for the past year and I really do swear by this. I’ll use this at night time, once a week only, or whenever I feel bumps around my chin and cheeks (from my dog attacking me with kisses.) When I wake up, the bumps are practically gone. It also helps fade acne scars.

Rosehip Facial Oil:  Rosehip oil really does a lot for your skin. It’s anti-aging, brightens skin, promotes healing, fights acne, reduces hyperpigmentation, helps firm skin, and probably a lot more. It’s cheap and very effective. I’ll put a little bit of this on almost every night before bed.

Tea Tree Oil: This is such a good product to have if you need an extra bit of cleaning. The antibacterial properties are so good for your skin. It helps a lot for dry and oily skin, clears up everything and leaves its smooth. I like to mix it with my rosehip facial oil.

Lip Balms:

Some of my favorite lip balms are Kosasport LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip BalmBalm Dotcom in MintRevitalizing Lip Balm SPF 20 in Fresh Plum (60)- tinted balm. Darkens my lips a lot and it’s seriously the prettiest shade ever!

SPF:

UV Essentiel: My go-to. It defends against harmful UVA and UVB rays, pollution, oxidative stress, and dehydration. It’s a gel-cream formula, really lightweight, and leaves my skin very hydrated. Also, it’s SPF 50! I try to put this on every morning.

Facial Sprays:

Not sure if face mist even does anything but it’s really fun to spray on your face and refresh yourself throughout the day.

Rose Glow Mist: This leaves such a nice glow and smells like heaven. It’s a good dupe for the Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist.

Beauty Elixir: I always buy the mini one and throw it in my purse because I seriously love the smell of it. I won’t lie, I have noticed a difference in my skin after finishing a bottle of this.

C + Collagen Perfect Skin Set & Refresh Mist: I recently got this and really love it. Vitamin C + Collagen, the perfect combo!

I like to keep things simple and stick to the same routine. I know how hard it can get with buying a bunch of new stuff, especially since the beauty industry keeps coming out with new products every day.  I strongly encourage you to clean out your bathroom cabinets, keep your favorites, and remember to finish the bottle before purchasing more!  Do less, with more focus.

What are some of your favorite skincare products that you swear by? Comment below and let's all share them with each other. Let me know if you end up trying out anything I mentioned, and I'd love to hear what you think of my routine!

xoxo,

Esma
