Top Must-Haves to Keep in Your Bag
One of my favorite tweets is, “Everyday men leave their homes with no bag, no water bottle, no lip balm, no hand sanitizer, no extra layer in case they get cold, just keys and a wallet shoved into their pocket. Chaotic and reckless.” Purses are truly a helpful (and oftentimes lifesaving) accessory, allowing us to keep all of the necessities we need throughout the day in one place. We wanted to share the 5 must-haves that we need to keep in our bags at all times. (We’re just going to assume you’re already keeping your wallet, keys, and phone in your bag.)
- Chapstick
Having chapped lips with no product to soothe them is the WORST! Make sure to keep a back up of chapstick in your bag. Your lips will thank you.
- A pen and a little notebook
I know everyone uses their Notes app more nowadays, but there’s just something about writing things down on pen and paper that really helps you to remember things.
- Hand sanitizer/Disinfecting wipes
We all know why this is a must-have. (Don’t forget to wipe down your phone, too!)
- Tissues
In case you’re allergy-prone (like me) or just like to be prepared, it’s smart to keep a little package of tissues in your bag! I cannot leave the house without mine.
- Phone charger
No one likes a dead phone when there’s not a charger around. Keeping your phone charger on you can also be important to ensure your safety. You would never want to be stranded somewhere with no one to call!
- Scrunchie/Hair tie
Sometimes a girl (or guy) just needs to put their hair up. When you don’t have the tool to do so, it can be frustrating. Eliminate that possibility by always keeping a spare hair tie or cute scrunchie in your purse!
- Gum/Mints
Freshen your breath in an instant by keeping these handy. You will be a blessing to those around you, as well. (We all know how crazy some people will go over gum. Be prepared.)
- A pair of sunglasses
I am so bad about remembering to keep a pair of sunglasses in my bag at all times, but it is such an important thing to have with you. Protect your eyes!
- Your go-to feminine product
You just never know (and you’ll want to be prepared).
- A book
If your purse is big enough, throw whatever you’re currently reading in there! It can help pass the time when you’re sitting around waiting somewhere. One time, I had to unknowingly wait at a college event for a meeting at 3 pm when it was only 12 pm. I was so glad to have brought my book to keep me entertained throughout those three hours!
Sometimes I will leave the house solely with my wallet, keys, phone, and chapstick. While that can be enough for some, I often will realize throughout the day how much I’m missing! These must-haves keep me prepared for whatever will be thrown my way. What’s one thing you can’t leave the house without? Let us know!

I never live my house without my fenty lip gloss for touch ups. I just don’t feel complete without my favorite lip gloss on.
I tend to carry a mini pack of makeup wipes. They’re great to clean surfaces with, but also if you are coming back from a late night, you can easily remove your makeup in the car or on the train home to prevent bed time laziness of removing your makeup ir the red lip thats starting to look a little crusty aha! Been a lifesaver a few times when I’ve had a long shift at work or come back from a concert :)

Hand cream is so important too, when you wash your hands in bathrooms etc. And soft hands are everything <3
I don’t about anyone else but I carry perfume and deodorant with me at all times and it’s definitely saved my life but you don’t know how many times I wish I had Gum or a mint!
giiirl I totally agree but one thing I learned is to never leave the house without a nail file! has saved my life a few times
Whoa Whoa Whoa !!!! So classy , the black and I would say perfect for a date with a red or black dress. Or crop top and boyfriend jeans. Thing I never leave my house without taking always in my bag is my lipstick, pocket perfume , my Scrunchies , facewash and a glowfacecream.
Apart from that this bag is literally very sexy. It’s Chanel haha out of my saving. Can’t take my eyes off. Everybody Stay home , Take care.

I always take some perfume with me! I love to freshen up the scent every now and then so I can’t leave the house without my fav fragrance. I also take my airpods with me, because music is just necessary let’s be real :P
I always bring have a floss pick because you never know when your going to take pic after going out to eat. Also a small pack of makeup wipes. Chapstick, keys and phone charger are other essentials ✨
Well first of all… I CAN NEVER leave the house without my purse! And these must-haves are perfect for what you should keep in your purse. But I love mini purses soo much, not all of it would fit but I would make it fit ;).
Omg this is so helpful!! I usually always just have my wallet, keys, and lipstick. I don’t even have a charger and I end up being stressed out when my battery dies. I definitely need to change that up!

whenever i choose to bring a bag with me, i have to always have my airpods, charger, lip gloss, wallet, and keys with me. i can never ever leave the house without any of those things, they are my top essentials. reading this article made me have more ideas on what to put into my bag!
