Simple Self Care Ideas

 

We all need a gentle reminder to take care of ourselves sometimes. Whether it’s reading a book, doing a face mask, or catching up with old friends - it’s crucial that we allow ourselves to relax and feel at peace. We listed some simple ways to practice self-care. 

 

  1. Take a relaxing bath (add some Epsom salts with your favorite scent!)
  2. Wake up a little earlier to make breakfast
  3. Do something sweet for someone else (compliment a stranger’s outfit, text a friend or loved one…)
  4. Take a mental health day
  5. Do a face mask or do a DIY spa day
  6. Give yourself a manicure or pedicure (or both!)
  7. Surround yourself with nature (take a nice bike ride somewhere and have a picnic!)
  8. Book a yoga class
  9. Pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read
  10. Turn off your phone/electronics for an hour
  11. Binge-watch your favorite show
  12. Write a love letter to someone you miss (not only will this make you feel good, but it’ll also be sure to brighten the day of whoever you’re sending it to)
  13. Go through old photos and memories you love
  14. Clean your living space
  15. Organize your phone, remove apps/cancel subscriptions you no longer use
  16. Open up the windows and blinds 
  17. Go to your favorite coffee shop

omg, i love all of these ideas! doing a face mask to relax at the end of the day is my favorite, but i definitely want to try out some of these other points! (i love the letter writing idea! so cute)

i always feel better after doing my own little spa day! also meditating, lighting candles and re organizing my room a bit makes me feel more at peace 🖤
